Bergen County Housing, Health & Human Services Center

A central access point for Bergen County adults experiencing homelessness. The center provides shelter access, housing navigation, meals, care management, health services, and connections to public benefits.

Walk-in services are generally available daily from 9:30-11:00 AM and 1:00-4:00 PM.

Bergen HEARTS

Provides coordinated-entry support for Bergen County families with children under 18 who are experiencing homelessness or an immediate housing emergency.

Services: Families are screened and connected with appropriate housing and support services. 

Housing placement is based on eligibility and availability. 

Bergen County Board of Social Services

Eligible residents may receive Emergency Assistance with temporary shelter and other housing-related needs.

Administers affordable housing and rental-assistance programs for eligible families, older adults, veterans, and people with disabilities.
