Pharmaceutical Assistance to the Aged and Disabled—PAAD
PAAD helps eligible New Jersey residents pay for covered prescription medications. Approved participants generally pay:
$5 for each covered generic prescription
$7 for each covered brand-name prescription
Applicants must be New Jersey residents who are either:
Age 65 or older; or
Between ages 18 and 64 and receiving Social Security Disability benefits
The 2026 income limit is less than $54,943 for a single applicant or less than $62,390 for a married couple.

Senior Gold helps eligible older adults and individuals receiving Social Security Disability benefits reduce their prescription costs.
Participants generally pay a $15 copayment plus 50% of the remaining cost of each covered prescription.
For 2026, applicants may qualify if their annual income is:
Between $54,943 and $64,943 for a single applicant
Between $62,390 and $72,390 for a married couple

Medicare Part D Extra Help
Extra Help is a federal program that helps eligible Medicare beneficiaries with prescription-plan premiums, deductibles, and medication copayments.
Individuals with Medicare and full Medicaid, Supplemental Security Income, or certain Medicare Savings Programs may qualify automatically.

VNACJ 340B Discount Drug Pricing Program
VNACJ Community Health Center participates in the federal 340B program, which allows eligible health-center patients to receive certain prescription medications at prices lower than standard retail or wholesale prices.
Residents should contact VNACJ to ask:
Whether they must become a health-center patient
Whether their medication is eligible
Which pharmacy must be used
What identification or income documents are required
